Be a Wok Star! Wok Cooking Class with Eleanor Hoh – Miami, FL – The SoFla Sage

The South Florida Sage

Fun fact: I almost went the chef route. In high school, I enrolled in the Academy of Culinary Arts, which was a special program (integrated with the usual high school curriculum) designed to prepare students for a career in the culinary arts. We learned skills in an industrial kitchen. Needless to say, this was not your average home economics class. Fast forward to college, I fell in love with nutrition science when I took my first nutrition course. Today, I write about both food and nutrition. Vegan Meals at Green Bar Kitchen in Fort Lauderdale – The SoFla Sage

The South Florida Sage

Happy February! Was your New Year resolution to go vegan? Mine wasn’t, BUT I’m always aiming for balance and that means incorporating more plant-based meals into my diet. Dining at Green Bar Kitchen can help you meet this goal. I recently visited for an early dinner:

I was fighting off a cold during my January visit so I got this orange juice for an immune boosting effect, it has cayenne pepper in it too – ZING.

Crab Cakes – chickpea, heart of palm, veganaise, parsley, kelp, scallion, spice blend, arugula, pickled onions.

These don’t require any refrigeration so they are perfect to take on a road trip or on an airplane. Per serving, the three flavors that I tried contain 0 g sugar, 4 or 5 g protein, 5 g…
